About the Exhibition
A curated exhibition of extraordinary jewellery set to dazzle and inspire.
The Birmingham Jewellery Biennial exhibition will bring together makers from across the UK and beyond, selected by an independent jury of leading figures from the jewellery world.
The exhibition will be held at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery – one of the UK’s great civic museums, housed in a landmark building in the heart of the city. BMAG is home to the Staffordshire Hoard, the largest collection of Anglo-Saxon gold ever found, and has been at the centre of Birmingham’s cultural life since 1885.
The open call for the exhibition has now closed. Thank you to everyone who submitted work for consideration.

An award-winning film screenwriter and producer, Alistair's films include the acclaimed documentary "The Watchmakers' Apprentice" and the drama feature "The Uninvited" starring Pedro Pascal and Walton Goggins, which achieved official selection at SXSW 2025.

Fascinated by gender fluidity from the start, she struck out on her own in 2005 and founded Hannah Martin London with the goal of making 'beautiful jewellery for men that their girlfriends want to wear' — unheard of at the time in an industry rooted in traditional notions of gender.
As a consultant designer Hannah has created collections for Louis Vuitton, Chaumet, Phoebe Philo and Tabayer, and collaborated with musicians spanning Def Leppard to Coldplay to Baby Queen. Hannah Martin jewels are treasured by FKA Twigs, Patti Smith, Keith Richards, Joan Jett, Helen Mirren, Madonna and many more.
