Birmingham Jewellery Biennial is seeking a freelance Exhibition Curator to lead and deliver the inaugural exhibition at the heart of the UK’s newest jewellery festival, May 2027.
We’re looking for a bold, ambitious curator who can think creatively about how jewellery is experienced by audiences — developing something contemporary, surprising and accessible. This is not a conventional trade fair or object display. It’s an opportunity to do something genuinely exciting.
The role combines curatorial leadership with hands-on project management, working closely with the Festival Director, Biennial Jury and host venue. The contract runs from 1 July 2026 to 31 June 2027, with a project delivery fee of £15,000.
